The letter Tarzan found was dated twenty years in the past (see June 16th strip). Could the skeleton belong to Lord Haver?

Don’t the people in these comic strips VET the other members of the expedition before they leave to make sure the villains don’t happen to come along ( yes, yes, I know, you have to have a villain along to complicate the plot. But, it happens so often in these comics, that I’m beginning to get the idea of where the term " too stupid to live " came from. ) ?

“Ah, a writer, eh? Say, why don’t cha write my story instead? Me, Jungle lord Tarzan, killer or lions, elephants, and all other jungle creatures except for the apes, brought up by em jungle apes. That’d make a more interesting story, don’t cha think?”

Why do guys in striped sailor shirts always turn out to be villains?

I have to find the diet and workout regimen of the characters.

So Lord Haver and his wife disappeared but the note mentions a daughter. This should be an interesting story.

Plenty of time passed, 20 years in fact, enough time for Lord Haver and his wife to become the rulers of some strange jungle tribe who wear masks and worship…….well, we can see where this tale is spinning off to. Haver Lives Matter!

Hmmm. Lord Haver and his wife disappeared in the jungle 20 years ago. Lord Greystoke and his wife disappeared in the jungle roughly 30 years ago (strip time). Do I detect a trend here?

Suspicious disappearances, a hulking brute, and a huge ruby? This looks like a job for Tarzan!

Kulp is rockin’ the guns there with that tight tee shirt. Maybe he’ll have a go with Tarzan later.
