Akiro is so ready for me to go back to work … he can sympathize with Ms. Kitty BIG TIME. Yesterday, not satisfied with ignoring me from elsewhere in the living room, he relocated so that he could ignore me from the other end of the house.
Our pets are very happy to have us home. The bigger problem for our cat is that we refuse to open the screened porch door for her unless it’s at least 50. At that temperature, she has to decide in or out because the door is not staying open. Maybe today she’ll have better luck at 60 degrees.
Grandma Sourpuss, you CAN go outside, just keep a SAFE distance. Take a nap under a bush away from others. Smell some flowers, chase a butterfly, …etc. :-)
We are almost in full fledged doorman mode for warmer days. The cats do NOT tip us for our service…it IS essential. Back porch is surrounded by mesh to keep them in and the uninvited out. Granny Sourpuss could Skype her grand kittens.
My mom always said that the first principle of child and animal training was, “You have to learn to think the way they do.” She didn’t make a sharp distinction between humans and animals. She was very good at training both.

Calm down, Granny. They’re just getting to the good part.

Hang in there, Grandma Sourpuss.

I think the gang here would like it if the humans would go away for a bit so their nap time was quieter. They seem a bit stressed.

I know how she feels. I miss outside, too. MUCH quieter and relaxed.

Desperate enough, Grandma Sourpuss, to visit with Snow & your 13 grandchildren?

One of my cats has his own theme song-he seems to like it unlike Miss Kitty.

Is Miss Kitty the name her people gave her? I had a black and white tuxedo kitty named Miss Kitty.
