Hobbes doesn’t learn, this is how Calvin caught him. He is kind of stupid that way.

Hopefully the dinosaurs don’t like tuna fish cans.

Fun fact: You’re closer in time to a living T Rex than that T Rex is to a living Stegosaurus. The dinosaurs were around for a REALLY long time.

Our cat will do tricks for snacks. Admittedly, not very complex tricks, but hey: She’s old and fat…

I’m pretty sure the time machine was the only one of Calvin’s box inventions that was used more than twice.

Get snacks and risk death in the jaws of a dinosaur, or no snacks and no risk. Yes, they need to be good snacks.

Calvin will make a great infomercial creator: throw in the extra stuff at the end if you want to catch them

If others need food for thought, snacks will do for Hobbes!

Today’s lesson is how to disarm a Tiger’s defenses. First you’ll need snacks, but make sure they’re good ones, and lots of them…

Calvin better let Hobbes in before he succumbs to the Hobbes’ mandibles of death. Hobbes looks pretty hungry in that last panel.

One of the last things that would want to do would be to hang out with dinosaurs that could eat me. That is why I think that the Jurassic Park movies are so stupid.

All you need is leverage. Though even the best leverage sometimes only gets lukewarm participation.

Hobbes thinks with his brain most of the time, but often his stomach will take over.

This is the classic line that has stuck in my mind for the last three decades: “Snacks? What kind of snacks? Are they good snacks?” :-)

It’s real hard to wait 24 hours for the next Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. I have the hard cover complete works of Mr Watterson, but finding this exact strip would take too long. It’s a real exercise in patience. I bet Hobbes is going to go on this trip, probably his last trip through time with Calvin. Mr Watterson was a genius. Am I ever addicted and it’s just 4 cartoon panels. It’s hard to wait 24 hours for the next one.
