I had a friend who always claimed his golf clubs were holding back his game. Another friend of mine was visiting from out of state and wanted to play golf with me. We borrowed my other buddy’s clubs. The guy from out of state shot in the 70s. I particularly remember a par 5 where he was about 230 yards out and hit a 2 iron onto the green. After the round, I texted my buddy and wrote, “Trust me, it ain’t your clubs.”
