kid obviously has to translate digital jargon and its emoji short cuts into adultese. Takes a lot of work. Makes me wonder what electronic high school essays look like. Hard to read ’em and grade ’em if time is taken in decoding.
how does he think his Aunt will see his letter if he doesn’t send it by ail …….ORRRRRRR is he going to take a pic of it and send it to her on his cell phone.
Last month my 8 year old granddaughter wrote me a postcard and it’s sitting right here next to my keyboard. I think it was probably a homework assignment. I make her and her siblings a card with a verse about once a month.
want slow, try spelling out words with the old flip phone keyboards where each key could be 3 different letters depending on how often it was pressed….sllllllllllllllllllow

I hope that in several months you won’t be asking about a bygone activity!

I read “WTH” as “With”. I was thinking “What the heck” was he trying to say?

I can relate to the writing part of this one. I’ve written a lot for fun over the past few years, and really enjoy it.
As for the abbreviations, they come in handy in some contexts, but I generally prefer the full versions of words/phrases (sometimes).
Interesting comic today.
