Heart’s relationship with her mother certainly has improved a lot. Under Mark Tatulli their relationship was often strained, with her mom feeling exasperated quite a bit, and had a feeling of a “cold war”. This relationship feel relaxed and comfy with mutual warmth and respect. Mark leaving may not be what we wanted, but it’s starting to look like it is what we needed.

Sounds more like a business negotiation. A rather negative view of the judicial system being propagated here.

sigh real Heart wouldn’t be this cookie cutter whiney nagging tween. She’d be one upping Dean’s new nose pierce. Got to give Steenz time to strengthen tween Heart into character who acts not who is acted upon, especially by ‘but everyone does it!’.
