Both Dobermans and IG’s are smooth haired, not shaggy. His coat should look more like hers.

He’s kind of shaggy to be either of those breeds, isn’t he

When I was a kid I remember seeing a Warner Bros. cartoon about various breeds of dogs. They showed a dog sitting next to a man. The narrator said “This is a Doberman Pinscher, and this is Doberman.” The camera panned away and you immediately heard a scream.
