Three’s company, four’s a crowd – especially when the fourth has “jazz hands.”

Little kids who are terminal are usually SOOO good that it breaks your heart. You ask, but you cannot take their place, and it sucks.

Speaking of hands, how come comic characters always have only three fingers on each hand? Normally they live forever and don’t age (think of Charlie Brown at 50), but they have to go through life with only three fingers.

^It’s the compromise they made at inception. Long life - deformed hands.

I imagine Annie can use as many hugs as possible at this point.

Matt Groening was asked why his characters have only three fingers. His response - “think how much ink we save” Logical, yet hilarious

Hysterical, Fer Lefer. Regarding the fingers, look at the fourth panel and think about how odd it would like if Alan had four fingers. I know it’s strange, but four fingers just looks weird on comic strip characters.

When my aunt was a little girl, she didn’t understand when my mother (the oldest) went to a big university in the next state. If she asked my grandparents about her sister, they’d say “she went to college”. Later, when her dog died of old age, my aunt thought that the dog had gone to college. So now in my family when a pet or person dies, we say they “went to college”. College… Vegas… same thing; it all makes deling easier..

Four fingers of Scotch, however, make perfect sense, JWF.
