I do not watch Pro sports. Just a bunch of over paid Prima Donas exploiting a God given talent. Most of them can’t spell their own name but are trying to tell others what to think.
“Fans” can have two meanings as well. The crowd of fans (derived from fanatics), and the act of swinging a bat energetically but with no effect (a strike) – as in “he sure fanned that pitch”.
