Kat: OMG, I didn't think it was possible, but I'm actually more in love with Justin Bieber than the first five times I saw the movie! Kat: So tell me the truth, Heart....he got to you too, didn't he...you've got the fever, admit it... Heart: I need me some Biebs!! Kat: yep, I knew it.

There should be a vaccine for that.

Don’t worry too much, when my friends and I were their age we were the same way over Johnathon Taylor Thomas from Home Improvement… you outgrow it.

Justin Bieber, Johnathan Taylor Thomas……don’t I feel old. In my day we were all giddy at the sight of John Travolta, Peter Frampton & Leif Garrett!!

@mtvbuckeye, in my day everyone was panting for Keith Partridge and Bobby Sherman.

She crossed over to the dark side. Dean will have to rescue her.

I pray Dean rescues her!

Johnathan who? I guess when I was that age, it would have been Aaron Carter, but he was not nearly as big of a deal. Girls liked them in groups in the ’90s Back Street Boys, N’Sync, Dream Street, 98 Degrees, etc. I wonder if that says anything about my generation…

I knew it, I knew she would move to the dark side. Heart, don’t do it girl!
Back in my day, it was Dino Desi and Billy! Somebody out there tell me you remember them! LOL!

The difference is that not only is Bieber’s voice so over-produced he sounds like a machine of some kind, but He has absolutely no stage presence. He’s like your egocentric cousin who always butts into your home movies, and then doesn’t do anything other than smile at the camera. The other pre-teen idols at least looked professional. (Okay, not Johnathan Taylor Thomas, but the rest.)

I wish my young cousin would act her age and catch Bieber fever. Maybe it would break the crush she still has on Michael Jackson.

For me it was Mark Lindsay from the Raiders and Neil Diamond. (Actually, I think I never outgrew them.) hehe

Yeah, for me it was Donnie Osmond, Bobby Sherman, and Keith Partridge. I remember hearing about Elvis and the Beatles, but for some reason they weren’t in the forefront of my obsessions at the time.

The girls I went to junior high with were obsessed by the Bay City Rollers !!!

Ricky Nelson, Ed “Kooky” Burns, and don’t forget Old Blues Eyes

Oh horrors, I remember the Gay, er, Bay City Rollers!
Interesting difference between ALL the ones named above and the Bieb – only ONE of them released an autobiographical book and movie at age 16, less than a year after his artificial career started. They’re not even trying to hide the fact his “career” is 100% marketing; any alleged talent is purely coincidental…

He was never my thing, but I do have a tiny bit of nostalgia about his early songs.
