I know that I don’t want to be committed. That much potential control over my life would be, just wrong.

The nursing home where my 80 something aunt lived didn’t have locks on the doors, so one day she and a friend decided to go joyriding in the scooters around the city and didn’t return for quite awhile and the police were called to look for them. When they were finally located the nursing home manager asked them what they were doing out there and my aunt replied they were looking for cute guys!!!Locks were installed in a few days…..

I thought this was a retirement community, not a prison. They should be able to come and go as they please. If they do not have the mental capacity to do so they should be in a nursing home.
