Justin Wilson, (the half Cajun chef for those too young to remember), once concocted a dish on his show he called “Chicken What The H—L” Always liked the recipe but I was also taught not to talk like that. ;)
Late hubby couldn’t stand to eat chicken or fish. The fish dislike came from being Catholic and having to eat fish every Friday. When he complained about the cafeteria at work, he said, “All they ever serve is chicken and fish!” I started paying more attention, and he was right – they did serve chicken in various forms quite a lot. And fish every Friday – we worked at a Catholic hospital!
when I served on a submarine we’d have a pool and bet on the number of times we’d have pot roast. Ginger pot roast , yankee pot roast, peppered pot roast, pot roast and potatoes, etc. On one 73 day patrol we had it 39 times.
