Ruthie there are already kids that have done that. Then they forget as they get older.

Fortunately, I didn’t have to endure that in my day.

Thanks a lot Ruthie! I’d forgotten about that horrible movie, and now you reminded me of it!! (I hope Dr. Suess’ widow sued…)

As with most movies–the book was far better.

ALMOST anything with Jim Carrey in it is horrific (one of the few exceptions being Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

When I was little we had some of the best Disney movies. I still watch animated ones that have good reviews with the gandkids- and some are good, some NOT! -and even Jim Carrey has good ones, but like many stars, he’s not suffiently choosey in his roles.

Well, sure–even for a bad movie, he still gets paid. Just not quite as much as for a good movie. And it’s not always easy to figure out beforehand which scripts will turn out to be the best movies.

Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka “Dr. Seuss,” aka ” Theo LeSieg”) is one of my most favorite people who ever lived. What Hollywood has done to some of his work is an abomination. The cartoons by Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng (and one “Horton Hatches an Egg” by Bob Clampett) are very well done, but the live-action features are terrible.
