I don’t know. Annie thinks she’d be happier in this school, but I think they need to keep looking. Some kind of middle ground between Kiddie Korner and this pretension factory.
JWF: ‘12 is a rerun of ‘08. If Britain can have an election campaign in four weeks, and Canada in five, why is the US permanent? Because the parliamentary system doesn’t warn the electorate with a fixed date?
JWF - I gotta applaud you here. You can tell Lila isn’t too keen on this place yet Annie is all for it and Lila is supportive. That’s a lot of parenting jungle-gyming there and I’m pleased to see Lila handling it so well with Annie’s needs in mind.
Night, I’m a bit unclear, are you saying unions were outspent 17-1 or that they outspent others 17-1? I tend to believe the former is correct, but would also like to see the figures of where the money went. I’ve seen figures showing that the average individual GOP donation is substantially less than that of Democrats, and that of the top 50 donors (including corporations and unions) something like 75% donated more to the Democrats than to the Republicans. Campaign finance is an interesting topic and seems to be a place where quite a bit of misinformation is injected into the political debate.

What a terrible mantra! No one lives in a vacuum. And you have to get your ideas from somewhere.

Compromise is a good thing when both sides achieve their goals. It is a bad thing when it means the surrender of rights or principles.
It is a good thing to compromise in a price negotiation. It is a bad thing to agree to allow yourself to be robbed.
Problem is, not many people understand rights or principles these days, so they don’t know what they are losing when they compromise on them.
