Poor Patty Duke.

I often wonder what happened to the actress that played Patty Duke’s identical cousin. I don’t think she appeared in any other roles, so I guess her career never took off.

How old is this strip?

I remember “The Parent Trap”. The original with Hayley Mills, the love of my 10 year old life.

It said so in the theme song: “They’re cousins - identical cousins-” (if I remember aright)

“One pair of matching bookends, different as night and day.”

Before Joel Hodgson rocketed to fame on Mystery Science Theater 3000, he was a prop comic. One of his props was a two-headed ventriloquist dummy named Danny O’Danny. They were, as Joel would sing, “cousins, identical cousins, connected by the spine…”

There’s a second example, so Mr. Wisdom-Face’s pronouncement tracks. If we knew of a third example, it would be a proven fact…
