When teaching my kids to drive I told them, “Anyone can make a mistake while driving. Remember, you’re not the only idiot on the road.” They knew I wasn’t exactly calling them an idiot, just that they had to be careful and alert while driving.
Now that I think about it, ’You’re not the only idiot on the road" would make a great bumper sticker.
Another bumper sticker I was thinking of…“Oh, like it’s my fault you’re stupid.” But that one sounds kind of mean.
I’ve seen similar scenarios on the live police shows (the “Student Driver” sign is a nice touch, though). It is never a good idea to run from the police; all you’re doing is making whatever you got pulled over for in the first place a whole lot worse. I have more than once seen a misdemeanor citation turned into a felony (and sometimes more than one) because they ran from the cops.

Drivers Ed in Quebec. Another important lesson they taught you was that pedestrians are only speed bumps!
