It’s all a matter of perspective. Ants are in fact a “big deal”, but mainly because there are so many of them. I mean, really many. The Intelligent Designer really pulled out all the stops when it came to ants.

Not quite as big a deal as with peonies: ants are necessary to eat the sticky coating off the flower buds so they can open.
