Learned something new today, eh Broomie?

I used to love when the teacher would tell me to look up the word in the dictionary, before asking what word i wanted to spell. Then i would tell her that psychologist, pterodactyl, and physical must not be real words because they weren’t in the dictionary under “s”, “t” or “f”.

I think we need to distinguish here between “older person” and “adult,” Broomie. You are the former, for sure, but arguably not the latter….

As for the school’s power, “power” means they have the ability to enforce their will, and it appears they do inasmuch as you are in the corner….

If only they could really do it….

This is why schools skipped their standard testing this spring. They did not want to risk punishing the kids ‘learning from home’ for what their parents didn’t know.

Given her advice here, you’d suspect that Broomie ain’t learned nothing in 1500 years!

Search engines are great. Just start typing a word when you aren’t certain of the spelling, and it will usually show you the correct spelling. Also, the word’s definition so you know that’s the word you want.
