I bet my FBI grandfather (lived 1911-2007, served 1935-1974) ever looked into that stash.

If this is Happisburgh in Norfolk, England, it’s pronounced Haysborough. Just a guide to those who didn’t know. We have plenty of weird spellings.

Did the motorist drive through the cow pastures or did the cattle roam the roads?

I bet the FBI had LOADS of fun going through that football field-sized database looking for a match.

I think those footprints found in Happisburgh were my grandfather’s when he went there to court my grandmother, but I’m not positive!

Did the FBI file the prints by name (great if you already know who it is), or by fingerprint type classification?

I bet the FBI has a lot more than 10 million fingerprints on file on file today.

It’s a wonder the FBI could find a single matched fingerprint amongst all those millions back before there were effective computer databases that could make the matches!

Those prints were all from the Polydactyly family. Easily fingered for many thefts in the region.

    Take care and gesundheit.

Sounds to me like vandals walking through a freshly poured sidewalk.

When I was a kid, there was a farmer who painted his cows hunter orange during deer season because he was tired of losing them to over-eager hunters.
