Compasses are what some people used to carry around before GPSr’s.

A compass won’t do you ant good unless you know how to read a map.

There used to be a compass manufacturer near me called Silva Compasses. Their slogan was “Get one, or get lost”.

I taught Orienteering to Boy Scouts 15-20 years ago. I’ll bet they don’t do that anymore.

I read this during my morning meal and had a eureka moment (I love breakfast epiphanies)! How about golf courses have a gps app that shows you where the tees are, where the holes are, and where you are? You’d know how far it is to the green, and if you stopped to visit the little golfer’s room, you could easily get back to the 14th tee.

Knock on the door at that house and the guy who answers it will be happy to tell you where to go.
