is she going to disapprove of his ties being a bow tie or a bolo tie? if a regular necktie, hopefully nothing with a goofy, mismatching deisgn

Gotta impress God. I’m sure, at least, I have exasperated Him.

Do pluggers even WEAR ties, especially if they’re retired? ;D

Pluggers wear jackets to church that they typically wear on Halloween.

She’ll have a heart attack if she sees my attire when I go to church. Shorts and a t-shirt.

No point in dressing up when the preachers look like hobos.

The last time Hubby wore a necktie was when my Mum died – in 2011. And then he couldn’t remember how to tie it! The undertaker said he’d do it, but Hubby would have to lay down. Brother-in-law did the honors. His normal church attire is a turtleneck and a cross.

I think the last time I was in a church was at a wedding.

What’s wrong with self respect?

Pluggers still believe in church, unfortunately

Blue jeans and a nice western shirt works for me cause I’m not trying to impress anyone. God knows who I am without any fancy window dressing. Besides, Jesus wore a simple robe and sandals occasionally.

She wants a tie, but is fine with THAT jacket?

Pluggers have respect for tradition.. even if that tradition is goofy.

We don’t go to church but we do get “dolled up” on occasion In fact this morning the Mrs went grocery shopping in a Canadian Tuxedo.

We go to Church to worship the God who made us and the universe around us. A God that awesome deserves our respect. With very few exceptions, I have always worn a tie when attending Mass every Sunday. I grew up in the midwest and as an octogenarian, I consider my self part of the Plugger nation. Having our churches closed by order of Governor Newsome has been very hard on us.

And their wives are their fashion coordinators.

My tie is ugly. “How ugly?” you may ask. It won me a new suit and seasons football tickets in an ugly tie contest.

I joined the Baptist Church at age 13, many years ago. Men wore suits and ties, the boys wore neckties and good slacks. Nowadays, churches, at least the protestant ones I go to, are casual. Or maybe it’s a California thing?
