    Though on the farm in NJ the dogs watched over the other animals and protected them; and were very protective of us kids and to keep us away and out of places my Uncle Jim did not want us in.

    Like the above comment, the only hard working dogs I’ve ever seen were Sheep Herding dogs in New Zealand which were rounding up the animals to be sheered.
