From what I’ve read, I think they are talking about Electro Swing music that started in the 90’s and made it as far as the 2000’s before it dropped off the map. But also from what I am seeing Electro Swing made a comeback around 2015 when they started make dances to fit with the music and is still hanging around.

In the Cleveland area there are several swing dances every month (normally) and feature music from the 30’s to 60’s. All ages show up, from teens to seniors – even have lesson before the dance.

Besides, every “Babylon 5” fan knows that there’s going to be a big swing revival in the 2240s.
Swing never existed. I know because I checked some “top 100 songs of all time” on the internet and there are nom swing songs in them. For that matter, there’s nothing prior to 1960.

Swing made a comeback in the late 80’s, early 90’s but didn’t last long. Too bad.

If it were Jason and Marcus I’d assume they were talking about Java. Of course, these days, Java itself is getting more and more passé

Passé is merely a perception. Swing is also a style of jazz that is still popular today, especially New Orleans traditional jazz.

Glenn Miller is my favorite band. When I first saw them, they still had some of the original members.
I’m in the Mood for a bit of swing now. I could just Sing, Sing, Sing.

I wouldn’t say Swing is passé — it’s going strong on YouTube. Example:

I don’t understand this strip at all. Why is Swing having ended in the 40’s a problem? Why is Roger siding with Paige a problem?
