Here in PR, I only have an air conditioner for the bedroom. My favorite activities are hydrating, sweating, aiming the fans directly at me, changing clothes, and taking showers.
Living as close to the equator as we do, there isn’t much difference in seasonal temperature change. It is winter here at the moment and the temperature this morning is 24°C. But back in February and March during the COVID-19 lockdown, it was at least 10° C hotter (94°F) and more humid. We don’t have air-conditioning in our apartment – just fans, which I parked myself in front of and hardly moved. Luckily, we have a 3rd-Floor covered terrace where we could escape to and get some breezes and slightly cooler air.
Sweating at home is one thing; sweating with a face mask on is entirely another thing! Spent one hour in line at the post office trying to get our mail delivered (long sad story) with face mask on-torture!
I’m in Iowa where the big windstorm went through here and ripped up everything. We were without power from 11:00 Monday morning until 2:30 Thursday afternoon, in sweltering heat. I used my old Iowa State Fair fan so much, its balsa wood handle pulled away from the cardboard fan, so I tried to glue it with Elmer’s glue, but it was so humid it wouldn’t dry. I had to find a way to hold it to try to keep it together as much as possible while I fanned every 30 seconds. Oh yeah, fun times. What did we ever do before air conditioning? :)

With Cosmo being so much out of shape that he is, I hope that there is a drip pan under wherever he roosts.

I like hot weather; I don’t need to shovel snow. Hot is cool.

Not to get too indelicate; but it seems that some of the locations for sweat to pour out of are not ideal for cooling effectively.

About 110 here today, same yesterday; hotter next week in north California.
