Since I am stuck at home, I have started looking forward to these calls. I have written my own scripts to use. Try being overly polite and interested. Then ask questions such as “Have you ever thought about changing careers?” or “Have you considered Jesus in your life?” And the list goes on. Hilarious responses and even some heartfelt answers.
and I drive a 22 year old Saturn wagon, that I bought second hand, 11 years ago.
It only has about 150,000 miles on it now.
Usually those are robo calls.
I don’t press a button to speak to anyone…
I think that just puts you in a data base of responsive numbers, to call again.
But once when it was a live person, I remember telling her those details…
and she just went right ahead with her script…
telling me she was going to renew my warranty as soon as I gave her the requisite information.
More recently, I got a live call about renewing the service contract on my computer.
I was messing with him… I asked him the deal…
He didn’t know the brand I had, or anything about it…. odd for a “service contractor”….
who if genuine, just might have wanted to know that it’s a small, 7 year old laptop, and originally cost way less than the coverage he said I “needed”.
When I said I didn’t give my credit card info over the phone…
he very kindly offered to take my bank account number instead!
I kept my phone number when I moved South. All my friends back there are still in my caller list. The robo-callers will spoof my old area code. When I see it on the caller ID with no name, I decline and block it.

If she was really psychic, she would know if the client was sick and so whether or not masks were needed.
