Something like this was done in one of Sean Connery’s James Bond films; he had a really powerful trap hidden in his inside jacket pocket, and someone stuck his hand right into it while searching him. I think it was in “Diamonds Are Forever”, but I’m not 100% certain of that.
I’m hesitant to go into my wife’s purse even with permission. This goes back to the fact that mother is an artist whose purse, actually it was more of a bag, contained sharpened pencils, a tape measure, sketch pad, and other items she would find useful when in a waiting room. Reaching in her bag was to risk potential injury.
