They tried to move Veterans’ Day. Vets hated it. 11/11 is Armistice Day, everyone stop shooting.
And while we’re at it let’s move MLK day out of January and tack it on to 4th of July weekend. Who needs a day off in the dead of winter and so soon after Christmas?
Why not make it a Monday, since it should be July 2 anyhow! That was the day it was formally adopted.
