Grandma must have left it in the pantry.
Go by the numbers with fresh stuff. Packaged is lower quality to start with & degrades past “sell by,” but it’s still edible for a bit. Hard candy never dies, it may melt into odd shapes if left in a hot car (so do pets, chilluns & oldfolks).
The Eisenhower administration was pro-infrastructure. We needed that.
