my two oldest boys who are 3yrs and 4 months apart fought all the time. Now as adults they seem to get along for the most part…even seek each others company.
I’m one of four, second in line. Older sister was always on my case. Younger brother and I were tight, and rarely faught. Younger sister was Elizabeth down to the whine and getting her own way. Motherhood cured both of the women of their weirdness. Mom was right. The curse really works.
My sister and I fought a lot as kids and we still don’t get along (mostly because she persists in continuing to belittle me every time we’re together). I always wanted a brother.
I always wondered what it would be like to grow up with a brother! I had four sisters – 2 older and 2 younger. I always had fights with my sisters – and as always I was the one who got in trouble, even if I didn’t do anything to them – it was still my fault for some reason.

Around so many sisters, a brother has no chance of winning.

My brothers never fought – each other. They were 5 years apart with me in the middle, and I was the convenient target from both ends.

My older brother always ignored me…I always wished I had a sister instead.

Oh, trust me, Michael, brothers DO fight. I’m the oldest of four boys, and you name it, my brothers and I beat the crap ouf of each other over it!
Of course, now that we’re all in our 40s and 50s (and the youngest one is deceased), we’ve mellowed a bit. ;-)

The mother’s curse: “I hope when you grow up you have kids just like you.”

My siblings and I fought; our daughter and son fought.

Susan, I too was best friends with my brother. But we did have some wicked fights. My big brother just died and I miss him so much. Sigh!
