Yup, that’s what I remembered.See, lou_lou, you did not need to worry about spoilers. We all got it wrong. (At least for this story line – the ones that were actually spoilers were about stories still several years in the future. I wouldn’t worry too much about them, even I will forget by then.)
What a wonderful time Farley had running about the town with his friends. But that’s too dangerous for dogs and so we are grateful to see him home again.
We went to Mammoth Cave years ago, camping with friends and brought our dogs. The last morning we were packing up and our 5-lb. Pomeranian slipped away as we packed. When he returned—all proud of himself—he was covered in stinky slime. (God only knows what!) Had to wash him as well as we could in cold pump water and drive from KY to OH with his stench. What a punk!

I dunno what this says about Phil. Did he get lucky? Or did he troll his usuall hangouts?

I don’t think you need to repay Phil. This should be Phil’s way of repaying you for letting him stay there for so long.

This is a kind of ‘set a thief to catch a thief’ situation: to find Farley, it takes someone who can think like him.

Well, Elly, given how long Phil has been sponging off you, I’d say you’re just about even now!
