Goldie, you blew it. After achieving a truce with Lupin you had to mention breaking Short’Stout. And you’ll have a tough time walking back that little remark! But Goldie,do you mean S’S broke itself?
You might wanna use clear epoxy, Woman. XD; (Granted, it could still break along NEW lines, but)
I actually found myself using clear epoxy today, to fix some figures I ordered from eBay, used. (I started a new collection and have ordered a LOT of them. XD; Thankfully, I’m not too picky about details like that.)
We have the technology. We can rebuild him. We can make him better than he was before. Better, stronger, fast . . . umm, well better and stronger, anyway.
I think Lupin misinterpreted Goldie’s remark. Obviously the vase has been broken before and therefore could be broken again (not necessarily by the same individual).
Credibility lost! Hopefully, Goldie makes a break (not literal) in the case here soon, or she’s probably going to end up at odds with Lupin again and be back at square one on that front.
Georgia shared the BCN Shelter Special Report on Facebook and I figured it was a good time to point it out here to new people who may not have read it yet. You can get to it by clicking on the Shelter Cats tab above. Warning you may want to make sure you have tissues near by.
Lupin, wait! That just came out wrong. She meant that she didn’t want the vase to be smashed a second time, not that she thought you were the one who originally smashed it.
National Aviation Day —If you are a pilot, try to get in some air time. If not, but you love airplanes and flying, take some time to reflect on all those pioneers who set their sights ever upward.
National Hot and Spicy Food Day —Let’s hear it for capsaicin! I can no longer eat the really hot stuff … well, I can eat it, but I’ll regret it later—or not. I still have a higher than usual tolerance, but age is taking its toll. I discovered that the Scoville Scale for rating the heat of peppers has different interpretations, depending on who does the testing. So take it with a grain of … Anyway, what to take if something is too spicy: honey, 2% (or more) milk, cooking oil, beer. Hold whatever you take on your tongue until the burning goes away. Water will work the same way, but has nothing in it to neutralize the capsaicin. I think beer works because of the carbonation.
National Potato Day —Boiled, baked, or fried, spuds are “rare fine ballast for an empty belly,” as Gaffer Gamgee noted. Does not apply to couch spuds.
Black Cow, or Root Beer Float Day —Have a cow, man! It’s a truly mooving experience.
International Orangutan Day —Right turn, Clyde!
National Soft Serve Ice Cream Day —At 40% air, I never consider this as anything but a substitute for the real thing: Can’t make a proper Black Cow float with it.
I don’t usually comment, but I’m here to say I hate coming here to read BCN these days because the GoComics ads have become so annoyingly intrusive. The ones that pop up on the right edge and cover half the comic are the worst! I may just stop reading online and wait for the books as they come out.
I was told that GoComics does not like it when people post a lot of external links. What they have against YouTube and GoogleDocs I don’t know. Therefore, if I want to share something, I will put the link on my profile page.
Uh huh, only interested in the facts? Sure. First she put’s Lupin at the top of her suspects list, but she tells him she only goes where the evidence leads. That appears now merely to convince him to let her wear his hat. Then, even though she claims she believes his sincerity that he’s innocent, she covers her whiskers so he can’t tell she’s insulting him (making Puck uncomfortable as he can hear her). Then after questioning Natasha we see her written suspect list and Lupin’s at the top of it (which I still find rather interesting as when she actually announced who her suspects were she listed Natasha first, then July Bug, then Lupin, but when we see her written list, she listed them in reverse order), he’s crossed off there but that wouldn’t matter if Lupin ever actually saw the list. And now here she’s effectively said he did it. Granted, she could just as easily mean it being smashed a second time, this time by Lupin while the first time was by someone else. But eeven Natasha appears to have taken that “But not so close you smash it again—” the same way as Lupin in that second panel. Maybe Goldie smashed it in her sleep.
The vase sits all alone, frozen in thought, watching everything, but unable to talk. Trapped forever in glass, its only exit from isolation the gentle push of a paw to the ground.
