ust reworked my weekend schedule for football watching: 13 condensed bowl games from 2019 on Saturdays, 13 condensed CFL games from 2019 on Sundays. 45 minutes per sitting with no commercials twice a week is good enough for me to get into December…archives college hoops and hockey then. YouTube is your friend.

Sports aren’t really my thing.

If only more cartoonists recognized that. Enough with politics!!!

The Miami Dolphin’s foot ball team is going to stay in the locker room for the National Anthem this year . Some of their fans are happy about that because of the way that have been playing . And support them staying in there .

Tank is really about as close as I get to sports now.

I’m finished with pro football. My grandfather was a head coach for college and the NFL so football has always been a big part of my life. I’ve had enough of the politics and the greed.

I love basketball, but I hate this “bubble” idea. I haven’t watched a game this postseason because they should have waited until the players could play safely and the fans could attend.

About that Nielsen rating, this from the NY Daily News: The Nielsen ratings were down about 13% from 2019′s NFL’s Opening Night matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.While some pundits pointed to fans shunning anti-racism demonstrations as a primary factor for the viewership decline, there were also plenty of high-level sporting events scheduled for Thursday.According to Yahoo! Sports, Thursday marked just the 20th day in sports history that the big four American sports leagues — NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL — were all in action.But many casual NFL fans were likely unaware that the season was commencing. With the league canceling all 65 preseason games due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the hoopla heading into Thursday was significantly stymied.Also, a U.S. Open marquee matchup between former No. 1 players Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams aired concurrently against the Texans-Chiefs game. My philosophy on sports is: “I find my life much simpler by ignoring all sports.” But I still love to read Tank.

Haven’t watched the NBA on any regular basis in a couple of decades; very little hockey since moving back to Houston 19 years ago; no baseball since the end of last season; and the NFL hasn’t shown up on my TV at all this weekend. Watching other sports really doesn’t interest me. Honestly, I don’t really miss it. If I want to see hypocrisy, virtue signalling and whining, there’s plenty of it around in other places.

Many people would just leave sports on as “background noise”. During the pause, they found something else not to listen to . :)
