You think that a funding increase is going to make it down to the classroom?

I like to think this is a meta comment on the lack of art supplies.

It won’t be enough. But hey, who cares. It’s only for kids who don’t vote or pay taxes.

Why, I wonder, was this not colored? Is the syndicate no longer coloring the dailies?

This started as a lack of textbooks. When did it morph into lack of supplies?

Well done, kids.

So, they’re in Philadelphia. I wonder if they know the Jump Start people.

I remember a cute strip back in 1999 or thereabouts that featured a sassy little girl or three or thereabouts. I loved that strip but I think we dropped the paper around them so I couldn’t follow it anymore. I remember it was called “Heart of the City.” Using the wayback button I see this is the same strip but totally changed. Wow.
