I was pretty sure there were more than six, anyway.

Best to find out if if you’re a crazy cat lady. If someone asks you how many cats live with you and you aren’t certain of the answer you’re probably a crazy cat lady.

How small does a living space have to be to be ‘over-run’ with cats? A three-panel comic strip doesn’t qualify! :-P

Count your blessings, Poncho. It could be like Mike du Jour’s “Key Kat Lady”!

To fully qualify she’d have to be around poorly kept litter boxes and neglect some of the cats

Pffffft! Depends on the square footage of the domicile! The bigger the house, the more cats are permitted before the CCL (‘Crazy Cat Lady’)Threshold is reached.

You may notice that the word “crazy” precedes “cat lady.” Ergo, only one cat is necessary.

I love cats, but yeah, six would be way too many. We have two (plus a dog) and they’re more than a handful sometimes.

In our town you need a cattery license and are allowed no more than 10.

Okay. So the parameters have been set. I wonder if there are any guidelines to label a ’crazy dog guy"?

I distinctly remember a comic panel – probably in /The New Yorker/ depicting a woman with five cats saying “Anyone with more than five cats has a serious mental problem.” Confirmation!

Carmen DOES have a lot of cats, but seems to be otherwise fairly sane. Or as sane as this comic allows anyway.

My grandmother knew a “cat lady”. She only had one cat and paid my grandmother to look after it, at my grandmother’s home. The “cat” lady came by once a month or so to check in with her cat. I count that as a “crazy cat lady.”

Begging to differ, I believe that only one cat is required.

As a devote cat lover I have to agree with him on this one. I only have TWO cats but I like to tell people it feels like there are 10 of them in here because no matter where I am, I feel like I’m always tripping over a cat. They come out of nowhere and decide to walk really slowly in front of me, no matter where I go there’s always one lounging around. One day, one of my two cats was sleeping in the room I was in; then I got up to go into the kitchen. As soon as I got there and turned the light on, who should be standing there waiting for me? That SAME cat!! Somehow, she managed to wake up and run past me without my noticing and then waited for me in the kitchen.

They’re both sleeping somewhere in here now and I can guarantee you, if I get up and walk into a room one will either be right behind me or already in that room. I ONLY HAVE TWO CATS! No idea how they do that.

My wife had six. Did that qualify as crazy, or did they score us as three each?

I once went to get a fishtank to a lady who owned several hundreds rescue guinea pigs. She said they ate about as much hay a year as a horse.
