I’ve been wearing a mask when around even members of my family who aren’t in my pod/bubble. And I’ve discovered two things that are relevant:
1: Eventually, you figure out how to wear it without fogging your glasses. AND you can stand it for even an hour or two. I’ve even forgotten it was on when I drove off.
2: It’s possible to have a pleasant and fruitful conversation from 2 meters distance, though there’s some need to repeat. (This is no different from how spouse and I communicate, now that we’re both getting deaf).
But when the restrictions are lifted, I expect an ORGY of hugs and handshakes.
Not sure I could have survived that party even before the masks and social distancing. I would have socially distanced myself before it became a thing.
Contagious diseases have been an old form of danger all the way back the Bubonic plague of the Middle Ages. Indiana Jones should be looking for the key ingredients for a cure.
Y’know, panel 5 here just made me think of the old joke with a news story about a guy rushing to the bathroom, covered by two anchors: Willy Makeit and Betty Wont. [smile]

There actually are horror movies about COVID now. They’re awful.

To be fair, this should be a serious concern to a 121-year-old man

Wait for the current virus, Covid-19, to mutate. Things will get even worse, then.

Not to worry, it’ll be gone when the weather warms up in April.
And, if not, LET ’ER RIP!

In the latest Indiana Jones movie, he’s fighting Nazis again, except this time he doesn’t have to leave the country.
“Indiana Jones and the Border Detention Centers!”
I know it’s kind of a re-hash of “Temple of Doom”, only this time the kids aren’t forced to work in a mine.
I’d watch it!

Impossible. Indiana Jones was born on July 1 1899. Good joke though.
