I knew a guy that went to Panama…he came back married. They couldn’t speak each other’s language. Not sure how long it lasted, we moved to a different state shortly after that.
I used to work with a guy….an older guy….that did the mail order bride thing. Some woman half his age from somewhere in Asia. She took off on him, too. Poor guy was devastated.

My wife’s cousin got one of those mail order brides from the Philippines. It lasted about a year, she ran off with one of his friends.
