Growing up without a TV (we finally got one when I was about 15 in the early 70s) meant that I missed out on a lot of common pop cultural references. But it did encourage reading. And my dad read to me when I was little.
I grew up reading Louis Lamore, then moved to science fiction/fantasy. Used to belong to a book club and buy books all the time. Then, the home computer took over our way of life…I had my son on my lap playing Doom in no time. As he got older, we got a 2nd computer, and we’d play against each other. Now, he can beat me in any game…his reflexes got better, mine got worse. I’m about to turn 58, and I still play games, but now it’s online with my brothers, so I have a chance…

Do we know what Artie’s job is? I always felt he wasn’t from Grimace, he moved here, possibly a job transfer.
