When reality doesn’t fit your view of the world…

why should you change your view of the world when you can forcibly try to change reality. Until the next rain or someone points out you cheated. Fortunately you can have people who point out such inconveniences arrested. After all , what are the police and the justice department for if not for that.

I think it was a “Citizen Dog” cartoon in which someone is painting a landscape, doesn’t like the composition, so pulls up and throws away an intruding bush.

(Great strip. Ended long ago but still brilliant in GoComics reruns.)

Adding a splash of color to the leaves while they’re still on the tree may be a bit more difficult, though:-)

Reminds me of We’re painting the roses red, the Queen she wanted red, we painted white instead, If she finds out she’ll have our heads, we’re painting the roses red.

I’ve noticed that reality frequently fails to conform to my drawings of it. But I admit that this approach hadn’t occurred to me.

If reality isn’t workin’ for ya, make up your own.

At least he got th e angle right. Many naive artists assume all trees grow straight.

Look at trees and you’ll see that their trunks are actually gray, not brown.

Apparently they once decided to blow up a large boulder than reprint all the maps that was missing it.
