To this day, my favorite version of Jack and the Beanstalk is a 1974 anime title directed by the man who would go on to helm the Street Fighter II animated movie.
Used to be Disney would release a movie, show it for a while, put it in storage before it got “old”, then bring it out again a decade or so later, so people could it enjoy it with their children. Now, instead, they do a “remake” which is barely recognizable to the parents.

I want to see “ Snow White: The Untold Story”. Throw in the seven dwarfs, and turn it into a cutthroat survivalist show.
Maybe there were originally twelve dwarfs, but were told only seven would be allowed!

Or if you go with some of the non-“Authorized” versions of the movie, maybe only 7 made it passed the “Interview” with Snow White.

It’s true — ol’ Walt would roll in his grave if he was alive to see some of the travesties perpetrated in his name. (Thank you, Sam Goldwyn.)

Disney is a step away from turning stories into the like of Flesh Gordon to get market share.

This is not the Disney of our 1950’s childhood. This is the “Disney” of greedy corporate monsters.

Yep, the studio’s done a lot of things Walt wouldn’t have liked…
