How many times do we see or hear about wildlife that get entangled in garbage that people have carelessly left behind instead of disposing of it properly? There is nothing funny about seeing an animal with its head in a can or jar that it cannot extract itself from. It can starve to death or be easy pickings for prey. I can smile at this comic because it is just that, a comic. But when the real thing happens I cannot smile or chuckle over suffering.

It’s kinda hard to miss something like that Roscoe.

Did he at least lick the reachable peanut butter from the inside of the jar while it was stuck on his head?

bummer, eh, Roscoe?

Funny that Roscoe is wagging his tail in spite of his ‘issue’…

I would have thought that the cat might have told Roscoe “Not to worry she won’t notice”. I little bit funnier I think.

Because it’s not every day that you see someone with a peanut butter jar on their head, Roscoe!

Muffy did it.

That has been my usual thought when leaving our cats. They’re going ‘were you gone?’. Glad to see Pickles acknowledge that. :) :).

LOL! The cat’s reply of “You were gone?” was hilarious!

I bet that even Earl would notice a jar stuck on the dog’s head.

Maybe Roscoe wants to replace the bulldog as the Marine mascot, you know now he is a “Jarhead”!

Unfortunately, this just reminds me of all those cases of wild animals getting their heads stuck in jars, and dying a slow, miserable death.

Love Muffin’s response in the second panel. Brian Crane knows cats very well.
