Good Morning, Fellow Birdbrains!

It’s a great day for two.

Took my nephews to a double header once. Had to feed them my meds. “Uncle Lew, when is it going to be over?” turned into “Mommy, why are there 22 men on the field?” to “Daddy, Jimmy barfed on the fat lady?” Slept like lambs all the way from Boston. Don’t try this at home.

So how’s the new Fenway Lew? Only had a chance to go to the old park twice.

HA! A real Groaner today.

And Lew, I remember watching the Boston Bees playing there as a National League team . Also Casey Stengal coaching….

Is there a new Fenway Park? Plods, did you mean that or were you just referring to the added seating there? I thought Fenway was a good ballpark when I went to see the Phillies play the Bosox there.

Gosh AuldWan, you must be old! :-) My dad saw Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Lew Gehrig, and someone else famous whose name escapes me, play ball.

Now there’s a pitcher who can lose his head and still have a level head. If he were bowling, he would always have a spare–or is that a split?

Yes Dry, old but like a fine wine. I watched all three DiMaggio brothers play ball. Ted “The Splendid Splinter” Williams was my hero. He gave me an autographed photo when he was hospitalised in Gainesville,Fla before he died. Rud York used to play “scrub”baseball with us on the Boston Commons. He was a super big league home run hitter. My cousin, Dick Donovan, was a star pticher for the old Washington Senators and one year won the Cy Young award. Ah, precious memories!

twoday was a great day at Cedar Fair’s Canada’s Wonderland. I worked but it was still fun.

I have an autograph from Ernie Banks! (“Let’s play two!”)
