I don’t think we’ve ever seen Burt’s woman (I presume) before. =D Nice to see her, either way – at the very least, it would have to have been so long that I’ve forgotten. XD;
Hedgehog, strob, I replied to your comments of yesterday before I realised it was time to comment today. That’s what happens when you start thinking about time.
OT but not entirely. Has anyone else seen the photos of the Japanese Model T robot? If he could be programmed to give massages women would be lining up for him! His head looks like a stylized tuxedo cat (a little too slender to be Sir Fig)!
Right! She first met the vet when she was a kitten at the Quinn Shelter. That was a loooong time ago. http://www.breakingcatnews.com/comic/breaking-cat-news-halloween-special-part-eight/
Plot Prophecy. Since the Bea storyline was left hanging, I’m predicting that Monday the mailman will bring Beatrix to the vet at the same time as Baba Mouse.
Okay, I generally adore BCN no matter what direction Georgia chooses to take us, but now she’s just plain torturing me by leaving Bea in a tree. It is so unfair. And cruel!
I love the way their Woman’s hair has grown out…her roots are just about the right length for anyone with color-treated hair during the covid crisis…I’ve not been able to access my hairstylist for 8 months now, so I have 4” of brown hair at the top and 4” of blond hair at the bottom. Sounds awful, but I appreciate that particular detail in the last panel of today’s BCN…Georgia does it again! Isn’t she just the BEST with details?
Avast yer gabbin, me hearties! Well ye ken ‘tis th’ day t’ fergo the lubberin’ ways an speak plain as one o’ th’ Brotherhood. But ye be wantin’ t’ ken wa’’s wut, an’ wut uth’r day it be. Aye, ye be a fair pack o’ scurvy ‘naves if’n not, an’ boun’ t’ shake ‘ands wi’ Davy Jones. Na haul yer wind ‘n rest yer pins, awahl, ’n I’ll tell ye.

National Butterscotch Pudding Day —Fetch some o’ this down yer gullet, ‘tis a rare fine thing t’ tickle yer insides.

Speaking of Polydactyl Cats . . . I temporarily updated my Avatar with just Yeti, sleeping in a position I had never seen before. He’s holding one front leg with his big hind Paws, and covering his face with the other giant Paw.
Finally getting around to sending some Polydactyl Paw Power to poor little Beatrix! Yeti and I want you to be rescued soon! :-)
Yesterday I went to the store. When I got home, Visitor was waiting for me. He escorted me up the ramp to my porch. I rewarded him by putting food out (I only put food out for the feral cats when I see them so I can be sure they get at it first).
It rained last night. The air smells so fresh and clean! I hope the other places that need it got some too.
I feel like I’ve been hit upside the head. It’s only Saturday – yesterday the baby kitty was in the tree, “talking” to the mail carrier. Today we’re in a completely different story arc. What the heck????
We lost one of our former ferals this morning. Hamlet was a (probably) 11 or 12 year old Maine Coon who was abandoned near our house about 10 years ago. He was the father of my Horatio (in my profile pic) and went from a starving, hissing feral to a complete love bug who demanded pets and bumps.
The yard just doesn’t seem right without him. We’ve got a statue of a lion on order from a local garden center to put over his grave.

(shout out to the room) Baba in the house!!!

If Baba was really feral she would be doing worse than just hacking in shoes!
Susanna Premium Member about 4 years ago
So Burt and Baba did get taken inside. Good thing the mailman found Beatrix.

Brilliant, Baba. Once she gets you out the door on the way to the V-E-T, pry open that cage box door and make a run for it!

Oh , Burt, don’t be embarrassed by your grandma! On the other hand Burt’s expression is hilarious.

I am surprised that Baba is treating being brought inside as a funny experience. I guess she has seen worse.

I can’t believe Lupin is using the “F-word”! Baba Mouse isn’t feral; she’s INDEPENDENT!♥

Sent inside, her mission on “paws”
Sparks fly from her ancient claws
Hexin’ shoes in the night
She’s a restless spirit full of endless fight
Woo hoo, witchy Baba
She lets her revenge fly
Woo hoo, witchy Baba
She got a squint in her eye
She performs her spells in the night
Menacing shadows in pale moonlight
Crazy hackles from another room
As she derives her escape plan to get back to her broom
Woo hoo, witchy Baba
See how high she flies
Woo hoo, witchy Baba
She got the squint in her eye

I love Baba’s reference to how she and the vet go way back. Way back to before he was a vet.

Burt just do the – I’m a cat, sitting here, ignoring you, and pretending that I’m not embarrassed by whatever you’re doing – act.
Ignatz Premium Member about 4 years ago
I assume Baba is a stray or a yard cat, not a feral, or there’s no way you pick her up without getting bloody.
edwardhnelson about 4 years ago
Hmmmm…I love cats for pets, however feral cats are very problematic.
tricksterson about 4 years ago
Neither Baba nor Burt are really feral. they’re barn cats. They have a fixed abode and, I assume, are fed regularly by their Woman
