I dunno…she bears a striking resemblance to one ms. carson…is this some kind of alternate universe/catpocalypse thing??

But if you use a shrink-ray to make the cat earth-sized, then no one will believe that it was responsible for the murders for which Rip’s friend is being held in jail. So maybe it’s good that they don’t have one.

It seems to be an island from Earth moved to another planet. Shangri-Li and Shangri-La are two other places on Earth maybe related.

There is a reason why mammals can’t get that big. Heavy solid bones and firm joints means the cat would collapse. Dinosaurs could grow that large because they have “mushy joints”, hollow bones and air sacs.
