Cinderella was released in February. Would it have still been in theaters when this strip appeared in October? Looking at movie ads in the Oct/6/1950 Washington Times, page 55 (chroniclingamerica (dot) loc (dot) gov/lccn/sn83045462/1950-10-06/ed-1/seq-55), I don’t see it (but there is a lot of mice type on that page). My guess is that Nancy will be seeing “Destination Moon”.
Zooming in on the mice type, I notice a couple theaters were avertising a Disney double feature — "Treasure Island" and “Beaver Valley”. So that might be Nancy’s destination. Kinda false advertising though, since “Beaver Valley” was only 32 minutes.

We’re entering a rare time where some traffic lights were manually controlled, and others by computers.

Wondering if she was seeing “Cinderella”, which had come out that year…https://en.wikipedia (dot)org/wiki/Cinderella_(1950_film)

Wow! Remember when the policeman used to change the signs with a lever? I don’t either.
