Just wondering if any parents actually name their babies Waldo these days. I used to work with a young guy named Homer. He went around in a constant state of shell-shock.

Funny. A new take on the “where’s Waldo” satire popular among cartoonists.

As Thomas Wolfe once said, “I believe we are lost here in America, but I believe we shall be found.” Tag, Waldo!

I don’t write many personal letters anymore, but when I did I always started them with, “I hope this letter finds you well”. I loved getting letters, so I made the effort though somewhat sporadically! This comic made me think of the fact that most of those to whom I wrote regularly are no longer with us! Emails just aren’t the same, but they are quick and efficient so I’ve tried to evolve and now keep up with those friends and relatives that remain with us by that medium. Life goes on!

“Where’s Waldo?” is a blatant rip-off of “Where’s Wallace?”, written and illustrated 23 years previously (in 1964) by the acclaimed children’s book author, Hillary Knight. I am absolutely baffled as to why “Waldo” came to eclipse “Wallace”…a FAR superior book…seemingly without any legal repercussions!
