Wallace, when you are trying to right a wrong and their back is to you always lead with the foot from the ground to a point straight up…and with a very strong follow through.

I think Wallace the Brave is one of the best comics ever, giving Calvin, and Arlo and Janis, a run for their money.

In the past, when I was in school – not much was done, bully maybe suspended a day or two, “Kids will be kids”, “Bullying is just part of growing up”, “Just ignore them, they’ll stop”, etc. I was bullied and I heard all this crap.

Today, hopefully, (I don’t know, I don’t have kids in school), this should be considered an assault and treated as such. If I was Wallace’s father I would be hitting Gunther’s parents with a lawsuit.

Welll … Where’s Chicken Man when you need him..

The thug is well on his way to being a wife beater, child molester, or mass murderer, take your pick.

Wallace The Brave, but maybe not too smart. However I have no doubt he will get even. Okay maybe a little doubt.

I suppose being knocked out of his shoes is a fair equivalent for being knocked off his socks.

Of course he doesn’t wear socks. This is the same kid that refuses to wear shoes every summer—why would you expect him to wear socks too?

Also, “popcorn” for the punch sound effect? What is this, 1960s Batman? :P

hopefully someone will arrest Big Gunther for bullying and assault and put him in his place.

Wallace showed bravery and loyalty. That kind of character will inspire many others, in my experience. Gunther will get his one day, perhaps soon.

Just like Frazz, don’t bother with the socks.
