It wqas Memorial Day 2021 that a 16 year old found dog tags and sergeant stripes belonging to an 85 year old owner more than 61 years after he last saw them. Do I hear 2022? 17? 62? Anyone? Take cover and may God forgive.
Years ago there was a movie about Napoleon that got mercilessly ripped on because in one scene a would-be assassin lit a bomb fuse with a sort of lighter. What the critics didn’t know was that lighters made from modified firing mechanisms from flintlock pistols did exist in the 18th century. Lighters of the sort we think of today were first invented in the 1810’s or early 1820’s (different sources disagree), while the friction match was invented in the late 1820’s.

A much more interesting story would be how and why those dog tags and stripes were buried in the backyard.

I wonder how the tags and stripes ended up buried in Wyatt’s backyard.

The “which came first” story about the lighter and the match is the hardest to believe…….for me!

When my wine bottle is empty I punt and grab the scotch.
His father then explained to Wyatt that the Battle of the Bulge was not in Montana.
The Chinese had gunpowder first as well.

The Winos in my neighborhood just broke the bottom off and wine pored freely.

Well, being wine explains why they have “punts” in sports…
