It took me three years to add up to a single month of summer in Alberta. I left before I could get a full 3 months out of it.
When I lived in Winterburn where this strip takes place there were still snowbanks in May.
I use a microwave oven to soften it, but I can see how getting enough extension cords out to the meadow might be prohibitively expensive.

Back when I actually did that, I scraped thin little slivers of the butter off the stick. Spread much easier that way…
True.. but only in the time before refrigeration/air-conditioning.
