Getting up first thing in the morning to watch an Atlas rocket launch a Mercury capsule into orbit. Listening to Christopher Craft counting down. That’s what an old geek remembers!

Now you kids get off my lawn!

Well, let’s see…I am 56 and I remember when pong came out. You you guys are probably about the same age range?

Old enough to have learned the Preamble to The Constitution from Schoolhouse Rock.

These two aren’t anywhere near old enough to have fond memories of Pong. They seem more like the Sonic the Hedgehog generation.

Not me, but I knew some guys who got one of the first Macintosh computers and wanted to see how it held up being rolled down a flight of stairs.

I owned maybe a second-generation Pong game. It also had a Hockey Pong game. I don’t remember which side it was, but one of them could do this “glitch” thing that would make a second paddle appear… ☺

No gray hair yet, that must count for something.

I was in the Army in 1974 and the break room had a Pong game. 25 cents a game. I can’t even begin to tell you how many of my quarters I fed to that game! I was always broke because of it!
