We bought the show Samuel along with Dawson’s Creek, the original I Love Lucy and many more shows. Plus buy the movies we like too we have 4 cabinets filled up with them. For our viewing pleasure.
I turn the TV on sometimes out of boredom. If I find something I like, I’ll keep it on. I don’t really have a favorite show although I do try to keep up with Jeopardy.
Saturday evenings in the fall when I come in from working in the garden, I’ll “Spin the dial” (for those of you who know what that means) to see what college teams are playing football.
When I was in college my one vice was to watch MASH on Monday nights. One Monday night I went down to the TV room to watch and found out that all the TVs in the dorm were tuned into the world series. I’ve never been a fan of sports so I didn’t even realize that the world series was on until it happened. For the rest of the week I kept an eye on the world series and realized that the last game of the series was going to be on the next Monday. That afternoon I found that the smallest TV room in the dorm was empty and formed a plan and decided I’d spend the rest of the day watching anything but the world series so the TV would be free for MASH that night. For the first hour or so I was on my own with the TV and then someone else came in and asked me what I was watching and I told him that I was watching anything but the world series so the TV would be free for MASH. He thought that sounded like a good idea and offered to join me. By the time dinner came up there were 4 of us so we were able to go to the dinning room one at a time. After the world series started a couple people popped in and suggested that we tune in the world series, but we had enough people to tell them to get lost. One person did try to pussh it but I pointed out that there was another TV right across the hall in the snack bar that was already tuned in to the World Series and he finally gave up and left. When MASH finally came on we had about a dozen people in the room ready to watch the show, but at the commercial break in the middle of the show I got up to stretch and when I turned around the room was so full it was standing room only.

When the local Fox started airing reruns of Full House a 5:00 PM daily, my sisters had to watch, it daily. I had no say in the matter.
